Cool used car of the future: D3 Cadillac CTS-V "Le Monstre"
We caught a lot of flack for naming the BMW M3 Performance Edition a cool used car of the future. Yes, everyone knows the BMW M3 is fast and expensive, but the better choice when it comes to performance and value is the CTS-V, obviously. That’s why this week, the Mojo Motors Blog presents the D3 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe nicknamed “Le Monstre.”
The Le Monstre has been the custom creation of D3 Group which tunes rides for motorsport. History about D3 Group and the name behind “Le Monstre” can be read here, otherwise let’s just assume Le Monstre translates into English as “One B.A. Monster.” It should and here are three reasons why:
1. 1001 Horsepower
2. 5:1 Power-to-weight ratio
3. 427 CID with a 3.6L Supercharger System
Happy with that explanation? The chances a Le Monstre getting into the hands of the mass populace is unlikely, but D3 also tunes Cadillac’s for us common folk too. It would be unfair to put this car in a gift guide when no other car remotely compares. It makes for a better cool used car of the future anyways.
