Cool used car of the future: Jaguar C-X75
Electric cars and plug-in hybrids aren’t typically seen as being cool cars because they’re not. The Jaguar C-X75 is an exception and a cool used car of the future for a few reasons.
- It’s a hybrid supercar
- Each wheel has its own electric engine that total up to 700+ horsepower
- It will be built by a Formula-1 racing team
- Zero to 60 MPH in under 3 seconds
- Top speed of over 200 MPH
What’s with the name? Well, the ‘C’ stands for concept, ‘X’ experimental and ’75′ to celebrate Jag’s 75th birthday. Only 250 of these performance and eco-friendly machines will be built and they will be priced between $1.15 million – $1.48 million. That’s a whole lot of lettuce for a hybrid only capable of about 30 miles on its electric engine(s). In the meantime, if you’re in the market for Jaguar, stick with a used Jaguar XK. For one thing, it actually exists, has a throaty 4.2 V8 and is like 90% cheaper.
