New York City, NY (November 29, 2012) – Mojo Motors, the automotive classified website helping shoppers find a used car or truck they love, launched a completely redesigned website. The new site has a Follow feature allowing shoppers to receive alerts when prices change or similar cars become available at dealers in their area. Price drops are especially important because the average dealership will drop the price of a used car or truck twice, reducing the price 12% before a sale is made.
Paul Nadjarian, Mojo Motors Founder and CEO said, “Following cars keep shoppers informed as the market changes, eliminating the need to check multiple websites for price drops. We let shoppers know what’s happening so they don’t waste time. Price drop alerts show car shoppers that a dealer wants their business.”
The Mojo Motors redesign put an emphasis on user experience. Shoppers who Follow cars remain anonymous from dealers and no personal information is shared until a shopper contacts a dealer. The website also features responsive design to deliver a seamless browsing experience across all platforms – mobile, tablet and browser. JD Power and Associates reports nearly 1/3 of in-market car shoppers use a mobile phone to shop for a car and Mojo Motors is optimized for this behavior.
“A mobile first strategy using responsive design ensures an amazing experience for car shoppers browsing from their phone or tablet,” Nadjarian said. “I think most automotive sites have completely dropped the ball on mobile. Our approach breaks the website down into fundamental features like Following cars and price drop alerts, keeping the website extremely simple and fast.”
Mojo Motors is still completely free for car shoppers and currently available in New England, Florida and Texas with thousands of cars to Follow.
How Following works
- To Follow on Mojo Motors, a car shopper signs up for a free account using only their email and zip code.
- After signing up, a shopper is alerted when any of the cars they’re Following drops in price or is sold. They can see updates in the ‘My Cars’ page of the website.
- Following lets car shoppers have total control over their shopping experience and their information isn’t shared with dealers until the shopper is ready.
