Our favorite car-ish websites

Everyone reads Jalopnik and AutoBlog…or at least everyone who likes reading about cars. If you don’t like reading about cars, here are some lesser-known car-ish blogs that cater to a more general populous. Perhaps you’ll enjoy them too.

ridesphotos.com – What makes this website so appealing is not always the unique cars spotted by Christopher Benton, it’s the quality of the photos. I don’t know much about photography, but I do know Instagram is frowned upon in photography circles and ‘rides’ would never succumb to Instagram photos of cars. At least that’s my assumption.

lol race pics – Online memes for Nascar fans with the occasional a gem. Updated almost daily, the website pokes fun at drivers making news for whining, wrecking or being caught with one heck of a mustache. It’s a good way to keep up-to-date with Nascar without having to read an article with a lot of words.

Stance Is Everything – Pictures and videos about cars. It’s the step brother that got locked away in the basement and was forgotten while AutoBlog and Jalopnik took off with their highfalutin feature stories about Lincoln cars and their resemblance to John Wilkes Booth’s mustache.

Tales From Sales – These stories from the sales floor of an auto dealership live on the blog Car Throttle. The blog is run by a bunch of young dudes across the pond in the London, but you’ll quickly find out the personality of a car salesman is pretty much the same everywhere.

Celebrity Car Blog – You’ve always wanted to know Will Ferrell drives a Nissan Leaf and wears shape up or that George Clooney is dating WWE star Stacey Keibler. These are just some of the fun facts you can pick up on while browsing the Celebrity Car Blog. That’s David Letterman in the picture, by the way.
