We wrote about summer being a great time to buy here. It all starts in May when dealerships drop prices on used cars and trucks the most. Not only are they dropping prices more often, they’re chipping more off the price too.
Since the average used car stays on a dealer’s lot for about 40 days and will drop in price about three times, ‘Following’ a car on Mojo Motors will keep you alerted anytime something happens to the used car or truck you want most. If you’re not sure about what type of vehicle you want most, check out the best used cars to buy this summer.
If you’re already set on a few types of vehicles, keep reading to see how Mojo Motors will do the work for you while you shop.
Vehicle Detail Page
This is where all the magic happens. You can ‘Follow’ cars, see a vehicle’s price history, access your email alerts by clicking on your email address or go to My Cars by clicking the My Cars link on the top right of the page.
Every used car or truck can be ‘Followed’ on Mojo Motors. This means you’ll be alerted when any vehicle you’re ‘Following’ drops in price, is sold or something similar is added to a local dealership.
After you sign up for a free account on Mojo Motors, you’ll start receiving alerts on the cars you’re ‘Following.’ You can always manually adjust your alerts on the email setting page as well to get alerts on cars you’re not ‘Following’ too. You can find this page by clicking your email address on the top right of any page and then clicking the ‘Email Settings’ link.
The My Cars page is the easiest way to manage all the vehicles you’re ‘Following.’ You can get there by clicking the My Cars link at the top right of any page on our website. In the top tab (pictured below) you’ll see all the vehicles with the latest price drops by clicking the price drop tab or the vehicles you looked at by clicking the recently viewed tab.
Near the price of every vehicle on Mojo Motors, you’ll see the price history tab. If you get a price drop alert on a car you’re ‘Following,’ check the price history tab because if the price is right and the car has been on the dealer’s lot for about 40 days, it probably won’t be there much longer.
And finally, when you’re ready to buy and want to avoid the hassle of negotiating over a vehicle’s price, show the dealer your Mojo Discount Voucher. That price is locked-in. No questions asked.
