REVIEW: Used 2008 VW GTI

With Volkswagen on an upward trend with improved quality and a great certified pre-owned program I thought it would be appropriate to take a look at one of their more fun and versatile options. I picked the car that is often called the “Poor Man’s Porsche,” the used 2008 Volkswagen GTI. This highly affordable “pocket rocket” boasts a 2.0 liter 200 horsepower turbo charged motor paired with a 6 speed DSG automatic transmission. On top of all these features, the GTI also has the ability to handle day-to-day life with a lot of style which we found to also be the case in our review of the 2012 VW Jetta TDI.

Cool used car of the future: Dodge Hornet Concept

Dodge wants to replace the beleaguered Caliber. Wait, you don’t know what the Dodge Caliber is? That is precisely why Dodge wants to launch a brand new compact model. From the sounds of it, Dodge won’t call their new compact a Hornet (named after the Hudson Hornet), but with no other alternative, the Mojo Motors Blog will refer to Dodge’s new concept as the Hornet.

Cool used car of the future: Audi A7

At Mojo Motors, we sell used cars and there are some really great models to be had right now, like this Rabbit R32 or Mustang GT500 Shelby. The thing is, there are other great cars we love, but can’t include in our listings because they’re still concepts or too brand-spanking new. We will share these cars in a weekly segment appropriately titled “Cool used car of the future.”
