2016 Volkswagen Alltrack
If you’re just beginning to search for a new car for your family, the Volkswagen Alltrack may give reason to wait. The Alltrack is an entirely new model by Volkswagen, designed to compete with Subaru‘s all-wheel drive line-up. The Alltrack will come with 4-motion all-wheel drive and Haldex, which allows the Alltrack to operate primarily as a front-wheel drive car and distribute power to the rear wheels only when it’s necessary. This makes the Alltrack more fuel-efficient day-to-day. It’s unclear whether the Alltrack will come with 4th generation Haldex, which limits rear-power to 30%, or 5th generation Haldex which allows for 100% power distribution to the rear wheels.
