The most popular car colors
White was named the most popular car color in America beating out long-time favorite silver which has been the country’s most popular car color for the past ten years. It’s about time some fresh meat takes the crown from silver, but then again, the most exciting thing about white is when it makes an appearance on wheels. Refer to this Mustang Saleen and this Subaru WRX STi. White may be the most popular car color in America, but based on 117 responses from our Facebook fans, both red and black beat out America’s favorite by quite a majority. Even further down the list is silver, which was beaten out by the color blue in the fourth spot and green in the fifth-place spot.
For the complete results, check out the graph below:
In 2011, 21% of the cars built will be painted white, edging out black and silver which will make up for about 20%. White may be getting ahead of itself because let’s be honest, a white car is a lot like skinny jeans, the look is not easy to pull off. Some cars are quite capable, however, and here are a few rides from the Mojo Motors used car listings that make the grade. If you think we missed a car that could be considered a white “beaut” (yes, that says beaut which is short for “beauty”) leave a comment below.

BTW…your “Red” is actually red orange ! Ask an artist to do your colors for charts. They actually know what the “true” colors are AND when the color represented is Not the color cited.

I don’t like Black because you lose all of the “Style Points”. You lose the shadows which help to define the depth of the Styling. What color are shadows…Black (or dark gray) therefore you lose any shadows cast by the three dimensional styling “points”.
